Handwoven organic cotton sarees from Pollachi

Every Ethicus saree is woven by hand on our own looms in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu. We weave only organic cotton, grown by tribal farmers in the Kabini region of Karnataka, and colour it with GOTS-certified, AZO-free dyes.

How to choose your saree

Plain and striped sarees are light and easy to drape. Checks and buttas add pattern without weight. For richer texture, explore our Ratan brocades, the Rudraksha and Kommai collections, or hand-embroidered chikankari.

How it's made

The yarn is sized and warped at our studio before it goes on the loom. Each product page names the weaver and how many days the saree took to weave. We make only a few pieces of each design, so most designs are not repeated.

Why Ethicus

Since 2009 we have worked with Pollachi's weaving families. Every saree comes with a blouse piece unless the page says otherwise, and delivery is free across India.
